Community Partnership for Protecting Children
Community Partnership for Protecting Children (CPPC) engages community members to play an active role in the prevention of child abuse and neglect. By providing early intervention services to families and their children, child abuse and neglect can be prevented. The CPPC approach recognizes that keeping children safe is everyone’s business and that community members must be offered opportunities to help vulnerable families and to shape the services and supports provided.
CPPC is a comprehensive way to provide services because it involves key service providers getting involved with families earlier in their crises. This approach ensures the safety of our children in Grant County.

Its mission is to form partnerships with all members of the community, from the youngest children to our oldest citizen. Community Education is accomplished through these five initiatives: lifelong learning providing learning opportunities for all members of the community through enrichment programming and technical training, volunteerism encourages citizens to actively participate in the education of children and needs of the community through volunteer programming, service learning programs that allow students to apply knowledge acquired in the classroom to projects that help meet the needs of the community, community schools transforming traditional schools into the community learning centers by making them available to all members of the community for learning and enrichment programs beyond the normal schools hours, collaboration working to reduce competition and duplication of services within the schools and the community creating a spirit of collaboration among all service agencies.
